Division One
Cirencester claim 2nd place - despite walkover
Smiths A finished off their season in fine style to retain their Division One title. They had already been confirmed as Champions before this match, but there was no letting up as they beat Saracens B 7-3 with a maximum from Doug Payne. Highlights of the evening for Saracens was junior Robert Harvey's top class win in five over highly ranked Mark Bilsborrow. Robert also took Doug Payne close, just losing 13-11 in the fifth after being 10-8 up.

Cirencester unfortunately had to concede a walk over to Cheltenham A in their last match. However, they already had enough points in the bank to finish runners-up.

A maximum from Guy Greening and two from Simon Moysey, plus the doubles, gave two man Chelsea B.S. a narrow 6-4 win against Winchcombe Cavaliers.

Three wins for Pete Wood were not enough to save a two man Saracens A team from a 6-4 defeat at the hands of Winchcombe Wizards.

Division Two
Smiths B remain unbeaten to clinch division title
Smiths C have almost certainly clinched the second promotion spot with their 7-3 win over Winchcombe Warriors. In what was a closely fought match Smiths were led by their captain Chris White who gained a maximum and Paul Singh with 2 sets, plus Barrie Pope who chipped in with a 1 set win to set up their victory. The main resistance came from Neil Lawrie of the Warriors who won 2 sets and Mick Vick who won 1 set.  The doubles also went Smiths way just to capitalise on what has been an extremely successful season for Smiths.

Saracens D finished their season on a high with an 8-2 win over Smiths D.  The result leaves Saracens in a mid table position and was achieved with maximums from Terry Sims and Dennis Wadley aided by Mike Dodwell who won 2 sets. The solitary singles victory for Smiths came from Mike Gleeson, although both of his team mates were unfortunately on the loosing end of some closely contested sets.  The defeat certainly means relegation for Smiths D but they were not disheartened and thoroughly deserved to win the doubles to end the evening with Saracens D content with the 8-2 scoreline.

Smiths B may be runaway champions of Division 2 but they only just managed a 5 all draw with Cheltenham C, albeit they could only field 2 players. Milan Dragojlovic was Cheltenham C's mainstay in winning both of his 2 matches, whilst for Smiths B Ken Smith and Andy Richards both secured 2 set apiece which then required a victory in the doubles to scrape a draw and this they achieved after a struggle, thus maintaining their unbeaten record.

Division Three
Saracens E close in on runners-up spot
CCS A claimed a good 8-2 victory over Saracens F thanks to maximums from Steve Murton and the in-form Doug Blades. Jeremy Turberville chipped in with a brace. In a surprising twist, Pete McGeough and John Adcock combined for Saracens to win the doubles comfortably over Blades and Murton.

Tewkesbury A claimed the 7 points they needed to claim the Division Three title with a 7-3 win over an understrength CCS A side. Rob Amphlett was again in imperious form, winning all of his singles in straight sets. Simon Lockley picked up an important point with a good five-set win over Doug Blades. Amphlett and Mike Tyrrell combined to take the doubles in the fifth set of a tight contest against Blades and Steve Murton.

Tirley Tigers maintained their charge for a promotion place thanks to an 8-2 win against CCS B. Pete Humble picked up yet another maximum and he was well supported by Janie Kirby and Elaine Evans, who both claimed braces. Geoff Wilson picked up an excellent win for CCS B over Kirby, whilst Geoff Foster did likewise against Evans.

Saracens F claimed a 6-4 win over Cheltenham D thanks to every team member making an excellent contribution. However, it was Cheltenham D's Andy Dyke who was the star of the show, claiming an excellent treble in which he was rarely troubled. Both John Adcock and Sheila Matthews picked up braces, including excellent wins over Matt Mulcahy. They then combined to defeat the Cheltenham combination of Dyke and Richard Gummow in a tight five-set doubles.

Saracens E are drawing closer to the second promotion place thanks to a 7-3 win over Winchcombe CCC. Tony Iles claimed a maximum for Saracens, Neil Penny picked up a brace and Mike Barwick chipped in with a hard-earned five-set win over Roly Holder. John Teare was the pick of the Winchcombe players, winning two and losing to Iles 13-11 in the fifth having been two sets up. Dick Prior also picked up a win for Winchcombe. Iles and Penny were too strong for Prior and Teare in the doubles.

Division Four
Tewkesbury B secure 2nd place
Tewkesbury C gained a comfortable 9-1 win over Winchcombe Panthers, who could only field two players.

With a full line up, Panthers fared slightly better against Tewkesbury B, losing 7-3 in one match and 8-2 in a re-arranged match from earlier in the season.

Cheltenham H completed their season with three victories, and on each occasion it was a different team members who scored a maximum for them. Against Cheltenham G, Alisdair Naulls led the way, including a notable win over Jamie Makepiece to secure the 8-2 win. Paul Heron scored a threesome as the H side beat Tewkesbury C 7-3, and Chris Foster did likewise when they overcame Cheltenham E 6-4.

Winchcombe Eagles secured the title by beating Cheltenham G 8-2, and it was appropriate that their top player, Tiffany Hopton should finish her season with another maximum.
