Division One
Cavaliers Win Return Battle
Winchcombe Cavaliers turned the tables on Cheltenham B with a narrow 6-4 win to reverse an early season defeat. Darrell Wiltshire put on a fine performance to record his first maximum and three more from Graham Brown sealed the win for the Cavaliers.

A Guy Greening maximum couldn't save Chelsea Building Society as they lost to Saracens A. Suzy Robinson, Tony Stead and Pete Wood all won two games each for Sara's. Game of the night was a five set thriller between Guy and Tony which Guy just took 13-11 in the fifth.

Three wins each for Dave and Michael Harvey plus two from young Robert Harvey gave Cheltenham A a 9-1 win over Smiths C. Chris White gained Smiths solitary point with a good win over Robert.

Division Two
Two Good Wins For Tewkesbury
Cheltenham D cruised to a 9-1 win over Smiths D. John Gaskell and Mike Fry were in commanding form, each claiming three wins. Gaskell did so without dropping a set. Dave Green won twice for Cheltenham, losing out 12-10 in the fifth set to Smiths’ only winner, Julie Taylor.

Cheltenham F and Cheltenham E battled out a 5-5 draw in which there were some very close encounters. Matt Mulcahy and Alan Harvey both claimed braces for the F team, whilst Christine Williams and Andy Dyke did likewise for the E team. Indeed, Dyke, playing against his former team-mates, was unlucky not to claim a maximum, going down to Harvey 11-5, 11-6, 8-11, 10-12, 10-12 having been two sets up.

Saracens D recorded a good 7-3 win over CCS A. Mark Nally was in terrific form winning all three of his games comfortably in straight sets. Mike Barwick also played well for Saracens, winning a good brace. Steve Murton picked up two good wins for CCS A.

Tewkesbury A stormed to two 9-1 wins in the space of a week. Firstly, they overcame Tirley Tigers, with Rob Amphlett and Mike Tyrrell claiming three wins each. A whitewash was avoided thanks to Elaine Evans, who overcame Simon Lockley 12-10 in the fifth set to claim Tirley’s solitary point.

Amphlett and John Goodchild claimed maximums for Tewkesbury in a hard fought match against Saracens C. The match was much closer than the score line suggests, with 6 matches going to the full 5 sets, and with five of them going Tewkesbury’s way. Martin Cosnette picked up Saracens only point, overcoming Mike Tyrrell 11-9 in the fifth set of an extremely tight encounter. This was the second heavy defeat in a week for Saracens C, having also been beaten by league leaders Winchcombe Wizards. The Wizards were in imperious form with six matches being won comfortably in straight sets. Stewart Ratcliffe, Chris Lane and Keith Ferguson all maintained their good form, although Ferguson was pushed all the way by Dave Foulser.
