Division

No report as all Division One matches have been played.
Division Two
Smiths teams take top spots
Smiths C
secured second spot and promotion with a fine 9-1 win over relegated
Saracens C. All three Smiths players recorded maximums,
namely Paul Singh, Chris White and Barrie Pope which has
been a magnificent team effort as the same team was relegated from Division 2
only 3 seasons ago. The point gained by Saracens was a valiant
doubles win required to stave off the whitewash.
Winchcombe Warriors were unable
to help their efforts to win a promotion place when they were beaten by the all
conquering Smiths B by 8 sets to 2. Andy East was the most
successful Smiths player in capturing a maximum, ably assisted by
Andy Richards and Ken Smith who both won 2 sets apiece. The
player who put up the most successful resistance for the Warriors,
as he has done all season, was Neil Lawrie who won 2 sets, but they were
the only points won by the Warriors against such an unforgiving
and triumphant opponent.
