Saracens Crowned Champions
Saracens F lifted the division three title this week, despite losing to closest rivals Tirley Tigers in the penultimate match of the season. Tirley played magnificently to beat Saracens 6-4 and take the champions unbeaten record. In a closely fought contest, Pete Humble won all three of his sets, but with the match score at 4-all, it was Lesley Dewick who stole the show, beating Dave Cosnette 14-12,14-12,14-12 in a set which saw high quality play from both players. With all games played, Saracens won the division by a clear 10 points

Youth overcame experience as Cheltenham F showed their continued improvement with a 10-0 demolition of Civil Service B. For Civil Service, Geoff Wilson went closest, losing out 5-11 in the fifth game to Karl Foster.

Cheltenham G were a player short against Cheltenham H, who were comfortable 8-2 winners. For the H side, Mike Brook and Carey Maisey were successful against both Zac France and James Bird.

Cheltenham G were once again reduced to two players against Tirley Tigers who were too strong and finished as 9-1 winners.

Chelsea B have had to withdrawn from the division.

Winchcombe Eagles and Cheltenham F were evenly matched, with the Eagles just getting the better of things in a 6-4 win. All six players won at least one set, but it was Tiffany Hopton who saw Eagles home with a maximum.

Rob Browning’s three wins over Cheltenham G set up Civil Service B with a 7-3 victory.
