Division One
Champions show no mercy to club mates
Saracens A and Chelsea B.S. served up some superb table tennis to kick off the season as they battled to a 5-5 draw. Guy Greening won all his singles for Chelsea, but was made to fight all the way by Pete Wood before beating him 11-9 in the fifth game. Simon Moysey played his best table tennis for ages to beat Roy Fowler and Bob Trimble. But lost out to Pete in five.

Graham Brown, back playing for Winchcombe Cavaliers again after a few years break, started off with two wins. However it was Cheltenham B who took the match 7-3 with two wins each for Roy and Judy Morley and Sam White.

Champions Smiths A showed no mercy to their newly promoted Smiths B side, as they romped home 10-0 with maximums from Matt Hartwell, Nick Mytton and Dave White.

Smiths C also up from Division 2, now know what they are up against as they lost 10-0 to the Cheltenham A juniors of Mike and Robert Harvey and Milan Dragojlovic.
